Effective March 19, 2012, the $69 application fee for a fingerprint clearance card requiring identity verified prints will be reduced to $67.

Per DPS:

• Applications received by DPS with a postmark of March 19, 2012, or after, must be submitted with the new fee.
• You may submit the $67.00 fee with applications that show the fee of $69.00.
• Applications received by DPS after March 19, 2012, with the $69.00 fee, will be returned requesting the correct fee of $67.00.

Effective September 5, 2011, the application fee for the Provisional Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement will increase to $60.  All Provisional SEI applications made on or after September 5, 2011 will require the new fee. The Certification Unit will no longer waive the fee for the Provisional SEI endorsement.

  Statute allows for reciprocity of certification exams from other states with comparable professional knowledge and subject knowledge exams. Therefore, exams other than AEPA will only be accepted if the score report documents a passing score on a comparable exam from that state. The official score report must reflect the word “PASSED.”

  All 6-year certificates will expire six years from the date of issuance. Upon renewal, all 6-year certificates will be renewed six years from the date of expiration.
