Writing from Sources explains why we need to emphasize the use of evidence to inform or make logical arguments. An introduction to the EQuIP Rubric (Educators Evaluating Quality Instructional Products.) The Tri-State Collaborative (comprised of educational leaders from Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island) developed criterion-based rubrics and review processes to evaluate the quality of lessons and units intended to address the Common Core State Standards for ELA/Literacy and Mathematics. The purpose of this Webinar is to introduce the rubric and its purposes: to provide clear, descriptive criteria for common core lessons/ units, to provide meaningful, constructive feedback to developers of lessons/units, identify lessons that can serve as models, and to provide a protocol for collegial review.
