Join colleagues from across the state in a day of professional development focused on arts education. How is arts education affected by the fast-paced education reforms impacting our public schools? How does arts education connect with Arizona’s Common Core Standards? And what is on the horizon for arts education in schools and communities – including a sneak peak at the revision of the National Arts Education Standards?

Explore key areas and trends in arts education, and how educators, teaching artists, administrators and arts organizations can work together to leverage change into opportunity. Keynote speakers, Peter Boonshaft, Professor of Music at Hofstra University, and David Dik, National Executive Director of Young Audiences, will inspire participants to lead the way in the rapidly changing world of arts education.
