Notifications have been posted on the IT Bulletin and the ADE Home webpage. We have not received an estimated time for repair. ADE Support Center, Certification and Adult Education are affected. An unforeseen issue has arisen with Exchange (E-mail).  ADE IT has taken proactive steps to remedy the issue, resulting in the immediate need to conduct analysis the root cause.  This will impact all ADE users.
Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we work to restore the e-mail service.  At this time, we have not identified a timeline for restoring service.  However, we will continue to provide updates to keep you apprised of our progress.

Dear Education Leader: 
      
As you may already know, the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) website lost connectivity for approximately 30 minutes between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. this afternoon.
 
While the issue has been remedied and connectivity has been fully restored, we wanted to make you aware that any interactions with the Common Logon or other ADE network-driven applications (including e-mail) that took place during the outage may have been affected. Accordingly, we strongly advise you to confirm that any transactions you submitted between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. today were indeed received by ADE.
 
We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused, and please know that our Information Technology team is working diligently both to ensure that any future service outages lead to minimal downtime and to ultimately prevent such outages from occurring altogether.

On Saturday, March 1, 2014  at 09:00 AM we will be upgrading the Production Reporting Server.  As a result, reporting functionality will not be available for approximately 1 hour.  This affects only the reporting functionality of the following groups, not the other functionalities.

A backlog of inbound emails has been cleared and inbound emails from individuals outside the ADE agency are now being received. Root cause analysis suggests an issue with our email filtering software. If you continue experiencing any issues receiving email from outside sources please notify the ADE Center. Thank you for your patience! ------------------------------------------------------------------
We have had several reports from users concerning emails not being received from senders outside our agency.  We are currently engaged with our vendor to resolve this issue and restore inbound mail service as quickly as possible.
Incident ticket #IR-0011204 has been opened to track this issue.
Next update will be in 30 minutes.

As part of our efforts to keep your computers ready to serve Arizona’s education community, we have scheduled some routine maintenance for this Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 9:00PM to 11:00PM.
The Database Team will be performing maintenance that will affect the Database PRODDATA21\ADE, otherwise known as Common Logon.  The reason for this maintenance is to prevent future outages.  We have identified space issues and as a proactive measure the Database team will be beginning the process of increasing the server’s available disk space.
The following applications will be affected by this downtime and it will not be accessible during this maintenance window.
