ESSA Boot Camp

The ESSA Boot Camp is designed to support and meet the needs of new federal program directors or individuals who work closely with the ESEA Consolidated grant (0-2yrs). It covers the three main grants in the ESEA Consolidated application: Title I, II-A and IV-A. The training is a high-level review of the entire grant process ranging from understanding the intent of each grant to application revisions.

This training is broken down into seven main topics and two breakout sessions:

  • The training starts by taking the participants through the process of completing the Comprehensive Needs Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, and Integrated Action Plans.
  • Afterwards, it will explore LEA Set-Asides and PPA, USFR Coding, Narrative and Alignment, Title II, Title IV and finally with the Approval Process and Revisions.
  • After the main session there will be two breakout sessions. Traditional school district will dive into equitable services and charter schools will dig into poverty data reporting.
