Join this webinar and learn about an instructional strategy called a Driving Question Board!
**REGISTRATION CLOSES ON 12/16/20 AT NOON**
The Science and Engineering Practice of Asking Questions is a powerful practice in which we engage students in asking questions about a phenomenon- what is causing that to happen? A Driving Question Board (DQB) is a tool used throughout an instructional unit to generate questions, keep track of student questions, and revisit questions related to the anchoring phenomena & related phenomena. In this webinar, we will discuss how a DQB can be used as a visual representation of the class’s shared mission of learning in the unit
Objectives:
- Explore how to engage students with a phenomenon to launch a learning sequence using both remote & in-person strategies
- Deepen understanding of what a Driving Question Board is, how to use it, and when to use this strategy within an instructional unit
- Explore a few strategies to help students generate, discuss, and decide on which questions can help drive the path of the investigation
