Reading Apprenticeship Informational Webinar

  • Mon, Feb 7 2022 - Mon, Feb 7 2022  • Virtual
  • Middle School High School Academic Standards English Language Arts Post-Secondary

Come learn about Reading Apprenticeship and a free PD opportunity for this summer!

Webinar Description: Reading Apprenticeship is an evidence-based professional learning experience focused on disciplinary literacy. Educators are engaged in a process to discover the tools and perspective to “apprentice” their students in any subject area, including secondary ELA and other subjects. This assets-based approach helps teachers develop students’ comprehension skills while also building subject-area knowledge, reader-identity, collaboration, and persistence.

As part of a federal SEED grant, WestEd will be offering the opportunity for Arizona teachers to participate in a summer Reading Apprenticeship essentials course with little to no cost. Come attend this informational webinar to learn more about the Reading Apprenticeship framework and the course opportunity!!

There are 2 opportunities for attending this informational webinar: February 7th and February 14th. You can choose which event works best for your schedule.

Zoom link will be individually emailed to registrants the day of the webinar.
