This webinar will focus on discussing how the two Science and Engineering Practices of Constructing Explanations and Arguing from Evidence are connected. Together we will explore the differences between these two SEPs, dive into how they are connected, and discuss how to engage students in speaking and writing like scientists through using a strategy called “Claim, Evidence, Reasoning (CER)”. Tools for scaffolding CER statements with students will also be provided!
