TrustEd Apps Training for Administrators

Training Date: October 20th, 2022

In this workshop provided by 1EdTech, Arizona LEAs will be trained in the foundations of student data privacy and accessibility and how to utilize a rubric to vet applications. Other criteria for vetting applications will be incorporated into the training including the following: interoperability with existing applications, teacher and student ease of use, and instructional relevance and purpose. Using the TrustEd Apps Management Suite (TAMS) from 1EdTech, the Arizona LEAs will collaborate on the best practices for sharing the use of digital learning tools and resources with other educators in their schools and districts and will learn strategies for providing professional development in digital learning for their colleagues.

 

  • Identify the vocabulary to effectively discuss a Digital Learning Ecosystem including 1EdTech interoperability standards.
  • Describe how the 1EdTech standards provide solutions to common user stories in the classroom, including a seamless transfer of data and an improved user experience.
  • Utilize a working knowledge of the key 1EdTech standards.
  • Evaluate use cases of integrations to determine the efficacy of implementation for awarding academic credentials that show progress toward mastery of academic standards for teachers.
  • Utilize a working knowledge of the Data Privacy standard and the vetting process from 1EdTech.
  • Vet applications for their ability to protect learners and the data they generate. Collaborate with suppliers and other educators to ensure privacy safeguards are in place.

In preparation for this training please complete the following:

  • Verify your access to the TrustEd Apps Arizona SharePoint.  If you are not able to access the SharePoint please reach out to [email protected]
  • Read the articles that have been posted in the News section of the SharePoint. 
  • If possible, start the process of gathering an inventory of the list of applications that are used in your district. It will help you if you become familiar with what type of applications are currently used in your district.

How do I register for the training?

  • All attendees must register, in-person and remote.  If you haven't done so. follow this registration link to register. 

 

What if my District is not able to participate on this date, neither in-person nor remote?

  • We will provide materials and recorded elements of the training if your district is not able to attend.

 

Who should attend this training from my district?

  • The training is suited for curriculum and technology directors and administrators. Individuals who make decisions in the selection of applications to use in the school district, including online curriculum resources and web-based applications are encouraged to participate. Information Technology staff who administer the configuration of technology resources such as Learning Management Systems, Student Information Systems, Clever, ClassLink, Lightspeed, or other related applications will also benefit from this training.

 

Do I need to bring lunch to the training?

  • The team will be personally donating snacks to be consumed during the training as well as a Pizza option for lunch. 
  • If you prefer, you may also purchase your own lunch at the Sky Market and Deli, located across the street from where the training will be held. Check your email for details on how to pre-order lunch from Sky Market and Deli. 
  • You are also welcome to bring your own lunch if so you prefer.
