Social Emotional Learning Course

Arizona SEL Course

The Arizona Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Course is a FREE online, self-paced, self-guided course that will focus on the development and understanding of the Arizona Department of Education adopted CASEL Competencies and how to develop a systemic implementation of the social emotional learning within their school or organization.

The course has 4 main outcomes:

  1. Build a strong foundation in social emotional learning that includes equity based, culturally responsive and trauma sensitive practices
  2. Strategies and practices to strengthen adult SEL competencies and capacity
  3. Strategies and practices to promote and integrate SEL for students
  4. Systemic planning for classroom, school or organization wide implementation

Special Note: This course is designed to be taken as a school team, leadership team, or district teams but individual educators may choose to take this course on their own as well. Please choose the class that best fits your needs: Individual Educator, Teams, or Train-the-Trainer.

This course is brought to you by the School Support and Improvement (SSI) and School Safety and Social Wellness units of the Arizona Department of Education.
