To revise the FY2021 budget form for the Distance Learning Adjustment,
DISTRICTS should:
- Unprotect the APOR55 tab within the 2021EXPBUD.xls file (Tools/Protection/Unprotect Sheet for Office 2003 users or Review tab/Unprotect Sheet for Office 2007 and newer users).
- Enter “Distance Learning Adjustment” in cell H122 and enter the Distance Learning Adjustment amount in cell L122 as a negative number. (The formula for Base Support Level Adjustments in cell L125 will add the adjustment to the other adjustments in that section of the page).
- After making the adjustments, reprotect the modified page (Tools/Protection/Protect Sheet for Office 2003 users or Review tab/Protect Sheet for Office 2007 and newer users). If the sheets are not protected, the formula cells will be unlocked and subject to accidental changes.
After making the changes, districts may need to adjust their RCL allocation on page 7 to ensure that negative amounts are not reported in the Unrestricted Capital Outlay column on that page.
CHARTERS should:
- Unprotect the CHAR55 tab within the budget21.xls file (Tools/Protection/Unprotect Sheet for Office 2003 users or Review tab/Unprotect Sheet for Office 2007 and newer users).
- Enter “Distance learning adjustment” in cell E119 and enter the distance learning adjustment amount in cell H119 as a negative number.
- Update the formula in cell H120 to sum both H118 and H119. The formula should be: =H118+H119. (The formula for base support level adjustments in cell H120 will add the adjustment to the other adjustments in that section of the page as well as to the adjusted equalization base calculation on the Calculations tab).
- After making the adjustments, reprotect the modified page (Tools/Protection/Protect Sheet for Office 2003 users or Review tab/Protect Sheet for Office 2007 and newer users). If the sheets are not protected, the formula cells will be unlocked and subject to accidental changes.
