At Lake Havasu High School, counselors meet with students to review their ECAP (Education Career Action Plan). The website (www.azcis.intocareers.org) is available to all students and will be utilized throughout high school. All students are encouraged to review (with parents) and use the tools available to them on regular basis (outside of specific lessons). ALL students are required to complete the plan, updating on regular basis each year. The portfolio through AzCIS highlights academics, career planning, postsecondary planning, and extra-curricular activities and accomplishments.
Scott Becker, Principal
All students participate in Knight Time (KT), as an advisory. Students are assigned based upon grade level and last name. Students remain with their same KT class throughout their four years of high school. Each Knight Time session is prepared and developed by a team seeking to promote college and career readiness, in addition to relationship-building for academic success. Students will see Knight Time listed on their schedule as period 9 and will report to that class only on specified KT days. KT activities include Educational Career Action Plan (ECAP) preparation, school spirit activities, grade-level driven assemblies and presentations, academic success and improvement and much more.
All LHHS freshman participate in the Commit 2 Graduate ceremony. Students sign a cap and gown and shake the principal’s hand after pledging to graduate with the rest of their class!
