Procurement A-Z

Does the word “procurement” scare you? Are you unsure whether this even applies to your School Nutrition Programs? This training is ideal for those that are involved in the purchasing process, and who are making decisions regarding funds paid out of the SFA’s nonprofit school food service account. During this training, we will look at what procurement is and the laws and regulations governing it. We will review the methods of procurement, go over the importance of forecasting, ensuring competition before choosing a vendor, documentation, and explain the process of the procurement review.
