Big History Project and the History and Social Science Standards – High School

  • Tue, Feb 4 2020 - Tue, Feb 4 2020  •

In this session we will provide tips, guidance and resources for planning, navigating and connecting 13.8 billion years of history. We’ll look at the emphasis on skills that progress and spiral and how our planning resources and activities build student reading, writing, critical thinking and more essential skills throughout the year. Big History is full of scaffolds and tools to meet students where they are. We’ll make sure you know where to find them and how to use them. You’ll also get a preview of the new World History Project. Attendees will walk away with content, tools and course plans to help them successfully incorporate their learnings in the classroom as they implement the new Arizona Social Studies Standards.
