West Valley Arts Council is actively recruiting students (ages 15-18 years old) attending high school in Goodyear (and within the West Valley) who are interested in the arts as a career for our Gallery 37 arts education program. Started in 2001 and typically a summer youth public arts education program, we are expanding the Gallery 37 program by providing students an apprenticeship during the summer of 2022 (May-June).

Students will be working with a professional artist to design, develop, and install a permanent piece of public art for the City of Goodyear.

  • The Goodyear project will start end of May 2022
  • Deadline to apply is April 29th
  • FREE to apply.
  • Students receive FREE college credits in partnership with Estrella Mountain Community College
  • Students receive a cash stipend for their work
  • Students will have the unique opportunity to develop vital career skills

For more information on our Gallery 37 program, you can visit our website at https://westvalleyarts.org/gallery-37/ and view a short video of the latest installed Gallery 37 public art project at Festival Fields in Avondale.
