    • What's New In The Arts?

According to a comprehensive new public opinion poll report put out by Americans for the Arts Americans Speak Out About the Arts in 2018:

  • 91% of Americans (and 92% of Arizonians) agree the arts are part of a well-rounded education
  • 94% believe students should receive an education in the arts in elementary school, middle school, and high school
  • 89% say the arts should be taught in out-of-school programs in the community
  • And public support for arts programs taught in our schools and communities has increased from 2015-2018

The Arts Education team knows that the impacts of arts education are felt in our schools and communities and we are excited by how this is reflected in public opinion. It is encouraging to know as we advocate for the well-rounded arts education that is our students’ right, chances are we will be in good company. If you’d like to know what else Americans said about the Arts you can read the full report, review the one-page highlights, or view the infographic. You can also view the Arizona infographics report.
