Session 3: Using the Change Agent to Teach Reading

Join us and discover an abundant source of multi-level, peer-written content – both as PDFs and in audio – that you can use to teach reading at all levels. In this webinar, you will learn how to access leveled, student-written content, along with teaching activities aligned to the College and Career Readiness Standards. Students can read and/or listen to the content online and take advantage of the “Comment” feature, where they can respond to the piece and read their classmates’ responses. The relevant and engaging stories (published in The Change Agent) act as scaffolding to hold students’ attention while the activities coach students to read for evidence, understand the main idea, interpret figurative language, and more! Please note: Teachers will need to have an electronic subscription to The Change Agent to participate in this webinar. Adult education programs may purchase The Change Agent for teachers.

*Please note this webinar will be hosted in WebEx. A link will be sent to registered participants two (2) days prior to the session beginning.
