Wrestling Appropriation Funding Announcement

Public district schools, charter schools, and private schools are eligible to apply if they meet the following requirements:

• Serve students in grades 6-12
• Demonstrate that wrestling is incorporated into the school's mission

A total of $250,000 is available for award during the 2026-2027 school year to one single Arizona high school that offers instruction to grades 6-12 and incorporates wrestling into its mission.

Funding will support activities conducted during a one-year project period ending June 30, 2027. Funding beyond June 30, 2027, is not guaranteed and remains contingent upon future legislative appropriations. Grants will be awarded for a one-year implementation term in the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

The awarded school is required to provide information to ADE on completion of the program, including funding categories, and an evaluation of the program.

The awarded school will be required to submit a final program report to ADE that includes:

• A summary of funded activities
• Expenditures by budget category

Completed applications (including all required elements outlined below) must be submitted by September 27, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
