Arizona Education Employment Board (AEEB)

The AEEB is a free service for anyone seeking educational employment in Arizona. Districts, charter schools, secure care facilities, and other educational agencies are able to post current job openings. The AEEB is a comprehensive recruitment service that allows job seekers to use an online application, select openings in the areas of their expertise and locations of their choice, register for the Administrator Contact List, and receive weekly notices of new job postings. The AEEB averages 8,000 hits per day that increases to 13,000 hits per day during high recruitment months.

Great Arizona Teach-In

This annual recruitment job fair is designed to bring candidates and recruiters together in one central location. This event has proven successful for over eight years and typically brings together over 100 recruiters and 900 candidates each year. It is a one-stop career fair where education professionals can fulfill fingerprint requirements, ask questions of university representatives, have résumés reviewed by administrators, and finalize certification and highly-qualified requirements by ADE specialists.

Southern Arizona Education Job Fair

This regional recruitment event is held exclusively for Arizona schools in support of their recruitment efforts. This recruitment opportunity is designed to bring in candidates who are looking for education jobs specifically in Southern Arizona. This event will host up to 50 recruiting districts and charter holders looking for qualified education professionals. We will be hosting this job fair in partnership with Pima Community College at the Tucson Convention Center.

The 2016-2017 Education Career Fair Calendar and the 2016-2017 Recruitment Information for Related Services Guide are resource intended to assist districts and charter schools in planning efforts to recruit quality special education teachers and related service providers. These guides are updated yearly to provide the most current recruitment information from colleges, universities, and consortia across the nation.
The 2016-2017 Education Career Fair Calendar is a list of nationwide education career fairs. In this guide, the career fairs are listed alphabetically by state. Under each organization/institution you will find the job fair date, time, location, website, and a list of programs provided by the organization/institution in critical areas. Dates and times may change, so we encourage participants to contact the organization/institution for more details about the career fair.
The 2016-2017 Recruitment Information for Related Services Guide is a list of universities and associations for speech language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy that provide opportunities to post positions on their employment boards. Most university employment boards are free and association prices are listed. Please check websites for more detailed pricing information. This guide is listed with Arizona universities and associations first, followed by national associations and nationwide universities with related service programs.


Related Service Providers

PLS in-state recruitment efforts encourage and educate related service providers about the benefits of working in school-based positions. These recruitment efforts include participation in conferences at the Arizona Physical Therapy Association (AzPTA), Arizona Occupational Therapy Association (ArizOTA), Arizona Speech Language and Hearing Association (ArSHA), AT Still University OT and PT Job Fairs, ASU Job Fair, and the Arizona Association of Career Service Personnel. Out-of state recruitment efforts for special education teachers and related service providers include participation in the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Center for Exceptional Children (ECE), and American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Teacher and Related Service Provider Preparation Programs

PLS presents information to students in teacher preparation programs at Arizona universities and colleges to encourage undergraduates to consider careers in special education. For students in programs of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology, PLS presents information on the needs and rewards of working in Arizona schools.

Tuition Assistance

PLS tuition assistance grants are available to students wishing to matriculate to become school-based SLPs, OTs, and PTs. These grants are also available to general education teachers and paraprofessionals who wish to become fully certified, special education teachers.
