Registration

Registration for professionals and youth, young adults, and family members is currently at capacity. However, individuals interested in registering for the conference can submit information to the 2014 conference waiting list, available at this web link: http://tinyurl.com/lfed8vs. Submitting your information on the wait list is recommended – throughout the summer and up until three weeks prior to the conference, organizers will review and open regular registration slots as they become available. Priority for registering individuals from the wait list is based primarily on diverse representation from different organizations (i.e., districts, charters, state and community entities, etc) , not necessarily the order in which information is received.  In previous years, approximately 75 participants were registered from the wait list. NOTE: ADE reserves the right to cap total registration numbers from any single organization to allow broader participant registration.

REGISTRATION COST

For Educators, Service Agency Providers, and Other Professionals:

$325 – Standard Registration (May 17–August 1)
$350 – Late/Walk-In Registration (August 2–27)

For Youth, Young Adults, and Family Members:

$200 – Standard Registration (May 17–August 1)
$225 – Late/Walk-In Registration (August 2–27)

PLEASE NOTE: Registration fees listed above are for all three days of the conference (or two days for youth, young adults, and family members). There will be no allowance for single-day registration. Additionally, presenters, vendors, and Secondary Transition Mentoring Project / Career and College Readiness Team Training (STMP / CCRTT) participants should register separately (NOT through the general registration sites) using the instructions provided by conference organizers.

REGISTRATION PAYMENT

Payment must be made by purchase order, check, or cashier’s check only. Credit and debit cards cannot be processed, and cash cannot be accepted. Purchase order numbers are NOT required for early registration, but payment information for ALL registrations must be submitted by August 1, 2014. Failure to submit payment information by the deadline may cancel your registration.

ATTENDANCE CONFIRMATION

The registration process is not complete without a confirmation number from the online process. Attendance is strictly based on registration confirmation and available capacity. Make sure to retain your confirmation number and bring it with you to the conference.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

All requests for refunds must be sent to Jeannette Zemeida via e-mail no later than August 1, 2014. Cancellation requests will not be accepted after that date. A registration fee is charged to all participants, including no-shows, who do not cancel their registration by August 1, 2014.

REGISTRANT SUBSTITUTIONS

Please advise ADE of any attendee substitutions by August 1, 2014, by contacting Jeannette Zemeida with name changes.

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS

If special dietary needs are required, please complete the appropriate section on the registration form.

ADA ACCOMMODATION NEEDS

If Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations are required, please complete the appropriate section on the registration form by July 25, 2014. Accommodations requested after this time cannot be guaranteed.

SLEEPING ROOM REGISTRATION

Make your reservations directly with the Talking Stick Resort by calling (866) 877-9897. Rooms will be held under “Arizona Department of Education Transition Conference”, booking ID# 5374, until August 10, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. at the rate of $74.00 per night (not including state and local taxes). Limited accessible sleeping rooms are available. If you require an accessible sleeping room, please specify your request at the time you make your hotel reservation. If there are no rooms available at the conference site, the Talking Stick Resort will direct you to an overflow hotel. Please note: The Talking Stick Resort has begun charging portage and maid service fees for overnight stays. ADE/ESS will pay these fees for rooms reserved under the ADE Transition Conference block rate and participants will not be charged separately.
