The Lexile Framework for Reading
The Lexile Framework for Reading is an educational tool that has been developed to measure reading comprehension and text difficulty by placing readers and text on the same development scale. Although Lexiles do not equate to grade levels, the measure that a student receives through this assessment link helps connect the reader with books, periodicals and other resources optimal for the individual’s reading success. Customized Arizona Lexile Map (printable handout format): A graphic representation of titles and texts matched to appropriate levels of reading ability.
