ADEConnect is a new identity management system, enabling secure, single sign-on for ADE’s computer, e-mail and internet systems. Districts and charters use ADEConnect to access ADE systems like the Student Information System (SIS) and longitudinal dashboards.
The concept behind ADEConnect is that once a person is logged into a district or charter’s student information system (SIS), he or she will be able to seamlessly access the ADE system without having to enter another password!
Users in “federated” districts/charters can access their favorite ADE applications with just a few clicks of the mouse. Never fear, non-federated users: those who cannot yet pass through the invisible portal from their SIS into the ADE system can still get their work completed. All you have to do is click the ADEConnect button at left and sign in. Go on, it’s easy!
Who Uses ADEConnect?
Who uses ADEConnect? Everyone! (Well, everyone who accesses ADE systems, which is almost every employee of an educational institution in the state of Arizona.) Whether you enter the ADE system through your SIS or through the ADEConnect portal sign on screen, you are using ADEConnect to connect with the information and tools you need.
ADEConnect also enables the district/charter/school administrative staff to manage user accounts and access to ADE systems. These “entity admins” have great power and great responsibility, so we have prepared some training just for them.
