A-F Accountability Guidance:  2011-2012 School Year

Guidelines apply to schools that receive an AZLEARNS Legacy Label of Underperforming for the 2011-2012 school year.

November 2011 Continue with October tasks until completed and plan is submitted.Develop an improvement plan for the school using the School Improvement Planning process and the web-based plan software,

  • Based on level of need, Solutions Team to conduct a systems audit and present summary of recommendations to be used by the LEA to revise the school improvement plan.

    BY 11/12/11 Provide written notification to each residence within the attendance area of the school. The notice must provide an explanation of the improvement plan process and information regarding the required public meeting.

    December 2011 Continue with October tasks until completed and plan is submitted.Develop an LEA technical assistance plan to support and monitor the school’s implementation of the improvement plan.

    BY 1/10/12 Submit a copy of the School’s Continuous Improvement Plan to superintendent of public instruction.  Submit a copy of the School’s Continuous Improvement Plan to the county educational service agency.  In addition, a charter holder must present the completed improvement plan to the charter sponsor at a public meeting.
