Engaging young children in rich, structured conversations as part of whole class, small groups and partner work takes skill. What are the conventions of academic discourse? How can we help young students make productive contributions to classroom discussions? Examples of scaffolding, sentence starters and activities will be provided.

This one hour Webinar is intended for teachers, trainers, coaches, interventionists, and specialists of early literacy. Webinars will support the implementation of Arizona’s Common Core Standards in English Language Arts K-3 and will include direct connections to your school’s K-3 Literacy plan and Move On When Reading. Learn effective classroom strategies to build early literacy skills.
