Overview

The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Audit Unit helps ensure the accurate distribution and appropriate use of both state and federal education funds. To accomplish this, we perform attendance and compliance audits of school districts and charter holders; ensure that school districts and charter holders comply with the federal Single Audit Act; monitor and confirm the resolution of single audit findings; and provide training, guidance and expertise to school districts, charter holders and various program areas within ADE.
