NOTE:  NEW PROCEDURES:

ALL participants (students and teachers) must register individually.  ASU staff will provide supervision while students are on campus. This event is for students and teacher chaperones only.

Also NEW this year:

ALL participants must sign an electronic Liability Waiver via DocuSign. Minors under age 18 must also have the signature of their parents/guardians in order to participate.  Teachers whose students or their parents do not have an email address or internet access should email [email protected] to discuss other options.  ASU is committed to conservation; therefore, no paper forms will be accepted at any time.

Show Information:

Ajax Written by Sophocles Translated by John Tipton Directed by Kristin Hunt

Synopsis:

In the aftermath of the Trojan War, Menelaus and Agamemnon name Odysseus the greatest warrior, awarding him the armor of the fallen hero Achilles.  Furious at being passed over for this honor, Ajax vows murderous revenge in this timeless tragedy of madness and violence.

ASU’s production of Ajax incorporates punk music and culture as a storytelling backdrop, aiding in the creation of a concert-like theatrical experience.
