| Description: | -The American Institute of Dental Assisting is a training school for dental assistants conducted by Dr. Eldon Hastings, a practicing dentist in Arizona for 38 years. Dr. Hastings has recognized the need for a well trained, efficient chairside dental assistant. AIDA offers a condensed, practical, hands-on course that teaches basic skills necessary to assist the dentist in an entry level position. The students are trained in a state of the art dental office and will obtain knowledge and skills by practicing at chairside and in the lab. The course covers the following areas of dentistry: dental charting, dental x-rays (digital), dental materials, preventive dentistry, dental anatomy and physiology, sterilization and infection control, instrumentation, clinical procedures, dental software, and effective presentation and interviewing for employment. The goal is to help prepare a student in becoming part of the dental profession and assuming a position as a well-respected professional. |
